Białowieża

I am beyond thrilled to share that split collective has been selected to receive the Culture Moves Europe Mobility Grant. This incredible opportunity allowed us to travel to Białowieża and take our first steps into the forest.

Split Collective gives a powerful voice to meaningful stories that we believe need to be told. Grounded in a scientific-philosophical approach, and with a clear research question in mind, we investigate and illuminate a subject or theme from different perspectives. 

Our project focuses on one of Europe’s last primeval forests, located in Białowieża ,Poland.

Art = Music = Art

I had the pleasure attending and capturing four unique solo concerts with a focus on improvisation amidst the art of a museum hall. 

The concert series of Art = Music = Art took place at Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar, a very special and inspirational setting. All four concerts were followed by a shared meal where artists and audience could connect.

Performing musicians: Tom Herbert (London, double bass), Alex Koo (Brussels, piano), Reinier Baas (Amsterdam, guitar), and Marc Mommaas (New York, saxophone).

Art=Music=Art is a collaboration between Written in Music and Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar.
